Hello, my name is Kim. Yuna Kim. Special agent, licensed to thrill, especially on ice. Well, really, as you probably guessed, I’m a figure skater who represented the Republic of Korea from 2005 to 2014 and won gold at the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games in 2010.
I was born on September 5th, 1990 in Bucheon South Korea. I started skating along with my older sister when I was 5. At the age of 11, I became the youngest Korean skater to complete the five different triple jumps, and I won the senior title at the South Korean Championships at the age of only 12.
My favorite skating techniques are the Axel, Lutz, and Flip. And one of my most famous moves is the bent-leg layover camel spin. My first Olympic games was in 2010 at the Vancouver Winter Olympics where I broke my own world record to win the gold medal. My score of 228.56 is still the highest score in women’s figure skating. And that got me into the Guinness Book of World Records. As a figure skater, I broke the world record 11 times, won 9 gold medals at international competitions, and never finished lower than 3rd in any competition.
I retired from skating after winning a silver medal at the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014. Over my skating career, I did all I wanted to do like I wanted to do it.
