My parents always told me. Try to broaden your perspective on life, and try to go out and see a bigger world. That always spoke to me. I’m Claudia Kim, and I’m an actress and model from South Korea.

[Part 1]

Claudia:

I’m at the Warner Brothers Studio tour in Leavesden to check out the Gringotts Bank for the first time.

 

Commentary:

South Korean actress and model Claudia Kim portrays Nagini, the maledictus that’s cursed to transform into a snake in 2018 film, Fantastic Beats: the Crimes of Grindelwald.

 

Claudia:

She’s such an amazing character to play. I feel so grateful to be taking on such an iconic character in the films. And I can’t wait to get another selfie with her today. I have before, and I really enjoyed the responses that I got from Instagram. So yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing the Nagini prop.

[Part 2]

Claudia:

I did not know she was to supposed to transform into a snake. So one of the things that I did in my final audition is.. So David asked me to transform and act in an animal form. Um.. and that was.. You know, that was the one of the most challenging things I’ve ever had to do for an audition. I just had to let go of myself and trust my instincts. And be as snake-like as possible. Yeah, it was really interesting. It was very exciting.

Interviewer:

Tell us how it feels to be in a Marvel movie. 

 

Claudia:

You know, they are.. I think the world’s best, they carry such excellence. There was so much to learn from them.

 

Interviewer:

Have you seen the movie in its entirety or tonight first?

 

Claudia:

Just a little bit. I wanted to save it for tonight. 

 

Interviewer:

I understand your character Dr. Cho is very pivotal in the film. Can you give us a little tease on it?

 

Claudia:

Um, she is the badass human amongst the superheroes. And she has the privilege of curing the Avengers. So, that’s great.

 

Interviewer:

That sounds wonderful. And you’re also in Marco Polo. We understand you’re kind of a badass in that. Can you tell us a little bit about that to get us tuned in?

 

Claudia:

It’s good that I got to fight a little bit in that movie instead of just running away. But it was fun. It was kind of like going back into history and going into the future. Filming both together. 

 

Interviewer:

So you’re really busy. Are you planning any time off soon?

 

Claudia:

Um, you know, I like being busy. I would love to do more and be a part of a bigger world.

Claudia:

It’s a lot darker than last film. It’s scary. But really I think they delve deep into.. They dived deep into these relationships. And um, it really talks about love and fear. So I think people who watch it will get a pretty good message out of it. I found it really enjoyable to work with Ezra Miller in particular. Because he’s not only fun and fashion-forward, but he is a serious, dedicated, committed actor. And it was really inspiring.

Q: 

What about you? What is your first memory related to Max Mara?

 

Claudia:

There are so many iconic coats. But the Manuela is my mother’s favorite. And it’s also mine, so.. That’s the first thing that comes to mind. It’s so classic, so versatile, and it’s irreplaceable I feel.

 

Q:

How do you relate to the brand? How do you relate to the aesthetics of Max Mara?

 

Claudia:

First of all, thank you. I mean, of course, I believe that Max Mara has such a strong identity and a strong voice. I love that you’re so actively involved in women’s movements. But for me, on a personal level, when I got to look into Max Mara as a company, I saw you, I saw the team of women behind this brand. And that’s what really was inspiring for me. They’re all people that embody this ideal. And I just wanna help carry that voice to other parts of the world like Korea.

Claudia:

I was privileged enough to do two Hollywood films and a TV series. I have a lot of exciting photo shoots waiting. And some interviews for my premiere. I’ve been traveling to places I’d never imagined I’d travel to. I went to Kazakstan, I went to London for a while. I got to travel around Europe a bit. One of my favorite resting places in the world is California. The global citizen is someone who has.. A willingness to want to travel around the world. To have an openness for other cultures, and to really want to step out of that comfort zone. And experience a new world. My name is Claudia Kim, and I’m a global citizen.
