Now, is there anything you guys wanna add about the music video before we get into that?

 

Baekhyun:

Hey, Mark!

 

Kai:

Leader, leader

 

Baekhyun:

저희가, 워리어…? 약간 전사 같은 느낌의.. 그런.. 마크!

 

Mark:

He actually uses the word ‘gladiator’ as a reference. If you actually hear the song, we actually added horns to the background of the song to make it seem more massive..

[Part 1]

One, two, three, four. Everything is possible. Here in my dream. I feel the most connected when I’m having a conversation with someone. Or maybe, when we have something in common. Or when we’re making eye contact. Making eye contact is something very special. I think that happens. There’s a small magic that happens in between each eye contact. And magical moments unfold.

[Part 2]

When I first met YUTA, it was the summer of 2012. And I remember this precisely because it was the month where I first got into the label as well. And he came a few days after me. I just knew that he was so nice. You could see it in his eyes. I really feel like we are at our closest yet, in a way ‘cause.. I don’t know. We’re always kinda close, but as we practiced together and then we debuted together. And we live together. We just got kinda closer and closer. And now I’m just, I always kinda stick with him. I always go to his room, to his bed, and we kinda hang out a lot as well.

Interviewer:

What is the training part of that though?

 

Johnny:

I mean, Mark, you wanna explain?

 

Mark:

Well, it may be very different from the star development that America usually has. But in Korea or in Asia, there are auditions, there are casting occasions. But for us, it’s all very different, but we eventually come to the label and we train on the label before debuting, and we all have different time periods of the training experience. But, we all train, we actually all trained together. And that’s how the team comes together. And they form a collective. That’s how you debut.

Interviewer:

What story are you telling with this EP? Top to bottom? Mark?

 

Mark:

Um, okay. ‘We Are Superhuman,’ well.. the album. If you listen to the album it has a lot of different vibes to each and every song. And we wanted to take it to a course of different emotions and different colors. But the main lead single is ‘Superhuman.’ And through ‘Superhuman’ we wanted to express how we wanted to bring positivity to the world, and how everyone can be their own superhuman. This is something that we kinda gradually started as a phrase while we explain this song. And it goes like, “I’m a superhuman,” “You’re a superhuman,” “And we’re a superhuman.” And that’s what the title of our EP is.

 

Interviewer:

So, global, the world influences your music. How does it influence your creative process? How does it kind of influence your life? Not only seeing the world, but being surrounded around so many different cultures all the time. 

 

Mark:

The thing about global.. We are a team.. a global team. So having diversity in our team is something that we’ve always had from the start. When it comes to our music, I feel like a lot of colors, a lot of styles come naturally, so being diverse is something that naturally happens around us. We learn from each other so well. So even while when we’re traveling all around the world, we learn from each other so much. We also learn from the fans. We learn from each and every city that we go to. Each country we go to. So it’s always happening around us, something global.

Interviewer:

How does it feel to have that response from fans?

 

Mark:

We’re actually not fully aware of the attention right now, but we really did hear that we’re on the charts for the Billboard, and we just really thank the international fans ‘cause like what Johnny said, we usually don’t come and see them often. But they do look at us online, see the videos that we upload. We’re just really thankful for that, so.. Thanks to the international fans.

 

This is our first promotion opportunity to show all our LA fans who we are, and get a real chance to show the American people and to the people around the world who NCT is. And I hope you always have interest for us. We’ll always be showing you our new performances and music, just for you guys to connect with us. I hope you feel our feelings.
