Once again, thank you to all the fans who love K-pop. I wanna share this honor with our fans all around the world. Thank you so much. And we’ll always do our best to spread the positive energy, through our music and our performances. Thank you.

Interviewer:

What is that process like? Obviously different than recording… I mean, you just released a Japanese album. You’ve released so many different projects, but in all English record.. different.

 

Jaehyun:

Actually, it’s always interesting to record in different languages. It’s like, it all has different vibes. And especially, recording ‘Highway to Heaven’ was really fun. It was like, it was a new.. We tried the English version before, in English lyrics. But this time it was really like.. A very new type of song. And very.. song we all liked. So we loved the vibe of this song while recording. Highway to Heaven. We love it.

 

Interviewer:

So global, the world influences your music. How does it influence your creative process? How has it kind of influenced your life? Not only seeing the world, but being surrounded around so many different cultures all the time.

 

Jaehyun:

For me, I always am thankful for having lots of opportunities to go all around the world. It’s a really special experience some.. like, a human can do, maybe, I think. It’s a very special thing and very dyanmic to go all around the world and meet all of the cultures, and be connected only by music, feel connected with music, and I think it’s very special.

 

Interviewer:

How do you guys measure success today? How do you look at it, how do you view it?

 

Jaehyun:

Well, I still think we’re on a journey. I still think we’re on a journey. Each.. for example, like.. If we have a new tour again, I think that’s our next success. And then having a bigger stage is our next success. I think we keep on going, on a journey, enjoying it.

Interviewer:

Can you tell us one random fact about each of you that your fans might not know?

 

Jaehyun:

I used to live in USA when I was five until ten.

 

Interviewer:

Oh, wow. Where did you live?

 

Jaehyun:

In Connecticut.

 

Interviewer:

That’s cool. Is it nice being back? Do you get to go back there often?

 

Jaehyun:

No, I haven’t been there since ten, when I was ten. I hope to go there. 

 

Interviewer:

Think you’re a little busy now. You have a pretty busy schedule. Do you guys like American food? What are you guys eating when you guys come visit?

 

Jaehyun:

When we came to LA, we ate hamburgers. We loved that hamburger. Is it okay to say the name?

 

Interviewer:

Yeah, I was gonna say ‘IN-N-OUT’ You have to go to IN-N-OUT.

 

Jaehyun:

We went to IN-N-OUT. And it was so good.

 

Interviewer:

What’s it like seeing all your American fans? ‘Cause you guys have millions of fans in so many countries.

 

Jaehyun:

It was amazing. Actually, we were so excited to meet our fans here. And we were like, ‘We should do well on the stage.’ The energy was so good.

 

Interviewer:

Was there any fun experience meeting any fans?

 

Jaehyun:

The fans were dancing with us. That was so good.

 

Interviewer:

What is NCT 127? What’s the name about? What does it mean?

 

Jaehyun:

First of all, NCT stands for Neo Culture Technology. And 127, one hundred and twenty seven is the longitude of Korea’s capital Seoul.

 

Interviewer:

Oh my god, that’s so cool.

 

Jaehyun:

So, it means that we’re going to spread out to the world starting from Seoul, where K-pop started. That’s what it means.

Jaehyun:
